Welcome to 1st Stoke Poges Air Scout Group
We have up to 60 youngsters in our Scout, Cub, and Beaver sections. They enjoy a range of Activities planned and organised by our leaders to provide fun and an exciting program during term times throughout the year. We encourage outdoor Activities particularly in the summer months.
Our Air Scout Group formed in the 1909 just 2 years after the 1st experimental camp on Brownsea island with Baden Powell and is amongst the oldest in the country.
It is a Registered Charity in its own right. It is governed by the Scout Association rules with particular attention to Safeguarding and Safety. The group is managed by its Trustees and the Group lead Volunteer (GLV).
We have 3 sections Scouts, Cubs and Beavers, each with a TEAM leader and associated assistant. They are in turn supported by parent Helpers.
